The chat boards were spinning this week after news broke of Pfizer's "interest" in making its first foray into longevity research and Decentralized Science (DeSci).The biggest of Big Pharma, through its ventures arm, has applied to VitaDAO's Institutional Genesis Raise, proposing to contribute $500,000 to VitaDAO and participate in the governance of VitaDAO using VITA tokens.Now, Pfizer in the same sentence as "decentralized" may be a headscratcher...But the fact that their eyes are finally on aging is a promising sign, further solidifying, as Pfizer Ventures' Executive Director Michael Baran puts it, that the field of longevity is approaching "a pivotal moment in history."šŸ“Œ You can read the submission from Pfizer Ventures here.
