Hi... he's doing the hard work for us...

In this week's newsletter:šŸ’Š Quit This Longevity Drug?ā˜ŗļø Be Kind

News From the Human Guinea Pig

Bryan Johnson has a confession:He has stopped taking rapamycin — and that it may have done more harm than good.Although there are multiple studies that suggest rapamycin is "the only drug that consistently demonstrated to increase mammalian longevity," a new experience from Johnson tells a different story. After nearly 5 years of an agressive (and varied) rapamycin schedule, he released this statement on X:"Despite the immense potential from pre-clinical trials, my team and I came to the conclusion that the benefits of lifelong dosing of Rapamycin do not justify the hefty side-effects (intermittent skin/soft tissue infections, lipid abnormalities, glucose elevations, and increased resting heart rate). With no other underlying causes identified, we suspected Rapamycin, and since dosage adjustments had no effect, we decided to discontinue it entirely."The full statement is here. This has ignited a variety of debates within the longevity community. So what should you do?The answer is easy: Consult with a licensed and experienced longevity physician. Every person has different needs and there is no "one fit" solution for everyone. Get started right now by scheduling a virutal appointment (for free) here. As far as other longevity drugs, treatments, and protocols... we'll have to wait for Johnson's next guinea pig discovery!Have a great weekend,
